Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, Cyprus has sunny and mild weather, and the sheep, goats and cows on the island produce the most suitable milk for halloumi. Halloumi is produced only with milk produced in Cyprus; It has been approved by the EU as a "Geographically Indicated Product" as a product specific to Cyprus.
Halloumi is the only type of cheese that does not melt when cooked or grilled. This feature makes halloumi special for many recipes and world cuisine.
We, as Meriç family, have been proudly producing halloumi with our original recipe since 1998. Our unique taste is based on recipes from our family roots. Today, under new generation management, care is taken to preserve our original taste while adapting to new technologies in production.
